COMMON QUERIES

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES AND DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE?

Rates are billed at $150/ clinical hr. through an app called Ivy Pay.

You simply provide a phone number and the app will send you a bill where you can input your credit card data.

For those experiencing financial hardshipI set aside a portion of my practice for sliding scale, please inquire about this directly.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

One clinical 'hour' is typically 53 minutes.

WHAT MODALITIES HAVE YOU BEEN TRAINED IN?

I have been trained in Buddhist Psychology/ contemplative psychotherapy.  I draw from my training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CAMS (Collaborative Assessment for Management of Suicidality), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) modalities.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

At this time I currently I do not accept any forms of insurance for my private practice.  However I do work for JCMH serving members of Jefferson County who have commercial insurance as well as Medicaid.  Contact JCMH to learn more about working with me there.

HOW DO I KNOW IF WE'D BE A RIGHT FIT TOGETHER?

This is an important question for both of us to consider.  I offer a free 15 minute consult to determine if we'd like to schedule a first session or not.  Then you can expect a 3-4 session assessment phase where we both can determine being a right fit for each other before determining the scope of our work.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY TAKE?

After our initial assessment phase which can take up to 3-4 sessions I will co-create with you as the client a treatment plan and provide you with an estimated time period for optimal benefit for our work together.
